BiCupid Review April 2024

BiCupid’s sign-up process is open for singles and couples who are at least 18 years old. The process is divided into three short sections: Create Your Profile, Upload Photos, and About You and Your Match.

To start the process, fill out the preliminary form located at the upper left portion of BiCupid’s homepage. Click the “Find My Matches” button, and you’ll automatically be redirected to the registration page.

• Create Your Profile

You will need to provide the following details in this section:

1. What you are
2. What are you looking for at BiCupid
3. Age
4. Email address
5. Mobile number
6. Name, username, and password
7. Location
8. Height
9. Ethnicity
10. Relationship status

BiCupid will also need your consent to their Service Agreement and Privacy Policy. If everything’s good, tick the box to show you agree and hit “Continue.”

• Upload Your Photo

In this section, you can choose an image from your gallery or right from your Facebook account. BiCupid will verify your photos, so don't be alarmed if it reads pending approval for your first few hours on-site.

Aside from choosing a flattering photo, make sure you are identifiable in the image. Go for well-lit photos that showcase your entire face. 

• About You and Your Match

The “About You and Your Match” section requires a little creativity. You’ll be asked to come up with a headline, a description of yourself, and your image of the ideal person. You can always revisit these sections should you come up with better comebacks.

After completing the forms, BiCupid will email a verification code, which you will need to key in within 10 minutes. Since it is a primary worry for members, BiCupid has been big on security. 

Make sure that you verified your contact details and that you chose a good frontal photo if you don't want your account to get suspended.

More than just being a dating site, BiCupid also is a community of bisexuals interacting with couples and other members of the LGBT community. As such, there are several contacting features members can use:

• Add to Favorites

Don’t you just hate it when you can’t seem to find the profile that caught your eye while you were browsing? 

BiCupid took note of this and created a Favorites list. With it, you get to save the profiles of members you want to explore later. Interest may be lost, but no profiles are gone forever. 

• Wink

Start a wordless interaction by sending a flirty wink. 

• Spark

View one profile at a time with BiCupid's Spark function. Decide if it's a yes or a pass based on the member's primary photo.

• Interact in Blogs and Forums

Since BiCupid evolved into a community, its rather unique offerings are blogs and forums. 

In the forums, members get to ask for tips and ideas for a date night or even life in general. Experiences, particularly with their being bisexual, are popular topics on blogs.

Since all the members have access to these features, the blogs and forums are fun and creative outlets to get to know other BiCupid users. 

• Direct Message

Of course, a dating website will need to have some sort of function where members can communicate with each other one-on-one. 

Users without a membership can only send messages to members with a paid membership. You can identify members with a paid membership by the green checkmark icon next to their profile name.

Getting around BiCupid on a free account is kind of limiting; it makes you more of a lurker than an active pursuer. With a subscription, you get full access to all contacting features, which can help you network and take a step closer to landing a date or a hookup.

Profiles at BiCupid are pretty detailed. Read one, and you get a pretty good impression of a person. 

A BiCupid profile will have the following sections and details:

• Identification

The member’s primary photo, name, age, and location will be displayed at the topmost part of the page. A badge will also appear here; it will tell your viewers if you are a paying member or not. 

The description you wrote during the sign-up process will also be displayed, followed by a textbox encouraging other members to leave you a message.

• Contact Options

BiCupid’s contact features are conveniently located below the primary photo. You can either message the member, send a wink, or add them to your Favorites list. 

• Albums

At BiCupid, you get two sets of albums: public and private. For the first type, premium members can see all your images without difficulty. 

The private album will require interested parties to send you a request. What's nice about it is that you can upload up to 26 photos for each album. 

• Profile

Your answers from the registration process will be featured on your profile board. To give your matches an idea of how awesome a person you are, the profile will include details on your appearance, background (ethnicity, language, and educational attainment are included here), and lifestyle. 

The profile will also include your “About Me” write-up so members can get a glimpse of your personality.

• Activities

This tab will display your activities while at BiCupid. Members can directly go to this board to see the last time you uploaded a photo or the comments you’ve left; it makes nice conversation starters, as they get to know how you are as a BiCupid member.

• Comments

The last board will display all the comments you’ve received. This boosts your credibility and popularity, as visiting members get to see how popular you are. 

Standard accounts can view complete profiles, but a subscription will come in handy when browsing the photos and videos, if any. Another perk of paying is anonymous browsing; there won’t be any alerts or trills that will inform a member that you’ve been viewing their profiles.

One of the issues BiCupid faces is the claim that there are fake profiles. The site is continuously filtering fake accounts to maintain a safe dating environment. During our review, we didn't receive many messages, but we noticed that some standard accounts used photos of Asian models and celebrities. BiCupid's recognition of copyrighted images seems limited to Western artists only.

With this, it's good that all members can review profiles completely. They see photo thumbnails and check if a member is acting suspiciously on the Activity board. Limiting the website's usability for free accounts is a rather good move as well; frauds can't get to you.
