Registration on TopFace is a quick, two-step process. The first step requires you to choose your gender, and confirm your location if ever the dating site was able to detect it. If your detected place is wrong, you can change it by manually entering the correct one.

The next step is to provide your first name, birthday, and email. You also need to nominate a password. Special characters are not allowed to use for your password. After successfully filling out these fields, an email verification link will be sent to the email you initially provided. This link will give you full access to the dating site.

For a quicker registration, you can use Facebook as a one-click sign-up. If you are a resident of Russia, you can use any of these three Russian social media sites to register: VK, Ok.ru, and Mail.ru.

The main contacting feature of TopFace is called ‘Dating’, and is similar to Tinder's (and other popular apps) roulette-type matching. A profile will be shown to you, in which you have the option to click ‘Like’ or ‘Skip’. Choosing ‘Like’ would give you the chance to gain a successful match with that user. Choosing ’Skip’ would just take you to the next profile.

TopFace makes it a fair game for their standard members to get something worthwhile from the app. As a free member, you can view your matches, as well as the members who have liked your profile through ‘Dating’. You can likewise send a message to those who have liked your profile. However, viewing the list of who liked you is a paid feature.

As a paying member, there are no limitations to sending messages. You get unlimited access in viewing the lists of your Likers and members who have put you in their Favourites list.

Profiles of TopFace users feature limited personal information about the member. They consist of one-liner details about different aspects of the member’s lifestyle and appearance. There are also several paragraphs that answer different personality questions. However, most members leave these personality questions blank.

Different photo albums are named by default, which shows up on a member’s profile if the user decides to upload photos for a particular collection. The photo albums are entitled: “It’s Me”, “My leisure”, “My travels”, “My job”, “My house”, “My friends and I”, “My family”, and “My hobbies”. Majority of users only upload photos for the album “It’s Me”.

Sending messages is free on TopFace as long as you are sending your message to someone who has liked you on Dating. Dating is the website’s roulette-type matching. 

However, a premium membership gives you the freedom to message even the members who haven’t even glimpsed at your profile. With a premium subscription, you can also see the members who have put you in their Favourites list; this could help you know which users are interested in you.

Premium subscription is offered in three different package durations: one week, one month, and three months. TopFace also offers coins, which you can use to pay for accessing some paid features of the website.
