You need to set aside around 10 to 15 minutes of your time when signing up for Fairytrail. The registration process consists of three parts. The first part is a quick disclosure of details such as gender, first name, country, and age.

The second part of registration is setting up the basics of your profile. You would need to answer a prompted question about your remote working status or past adventures. Then, you have to choose a fairytale character that represents your personality. After, you have to upload three photos that will be published on your profile. It’s best to have one photo that clearly shows your face, one full-body photo, and one photo showing one of your greatest adventures.

The last part is completing the account creation process, which involves linking your Facebook or Google account or providing your email address. There is no email verification required.

Fairytrail has simple contacting features. First, it has the ‘Explore’ feature, which works similar to the roulette-type matching of Tinder. Basically, Fairytrail presents you with profiles that you need to either “Skip” or “Adore”. Skipping will move you forward to the next profile, and Adoring will put you on that person’s ‘Adore List’. Should that user also adore you, you will become matches and will be able to send messages to one another. Moreover, you can match destinations so you both can enjoy virtual adventures together.

If you match with another user and choose the same adventure or destination, you can experience the excursion together via video call. As of today, Fairytrail only offers virtual experiences due to travel restrictions in most countries. However, if you want to travel with your match, you can also plan your trip through the app by looking at the suggested adventures.

At the very top of your profile, you’ll find the three photos you uploaded during the sign-up process. Underneath, you’ll see your name, location, and age. Then your fairytale character and most adventurous experience follow after this, as well as details about your background, appearance, and interests.

Profiles of Fairytrail members are short but give plentiful information about the user, especially if they fill out all the profile information fields. Most members of Fairytrail fill out their profiles completely.

Should any fake profiles are active in Fairytrail, the number is next to none. Using the dating app is not free, so most fraudulent users find no use using the app. 

Fairytrail has a one-time payment of USD2.99 as an "entrance fee" to the app. This allows you to enjoy the app's features after you've used up the five free likes. 

Subscription in Fairytrail is billed every month. The difference of the three packages is how much results you get per search, nothing more.

The Amber Amulet gets you up to 50 results per search, the Sapphire Amulet gets you up to 75 results, and the Diamond Amulet gets you up to 100 results per search plus puts your profile first on other members' 'Explore' features.

Fairytrail also offers what they call "Truth Serum" for USD8.99, one-time charge to reveal your profile adorability. Adorability is the percentage of adores over skips received.
