Our Review
When Tinder was released in 2012, the landscape of dating sites and apps shifted completely. In just a blink of an eye, personality tests and lengthy questionnaires were removed. Mobile dating apps attempted to replicate Tinder’s success and have their own versions of “swiping” to your match, giving you full control.
However, it seems that another mobile app is attempting to move the landscape once more by encouraging users to get to know the person behind the photo. Clikd, a UK-based app, brings back personality quizzes and puts emphasis on personality through the use of attractive visuals and creative functionalities. Instead of basing compatibility through looks and split-second attraction alone, Clikd works to have you take personality quizzes made by other users. If you can pass their quiz, you match. If not, well, you are simply not meant to be.
Clikd also throws out the idea of dealbreakers, a revolutionary tool that mixes the old school type of online dating with the convenience of modern technology. Through dealbreakers, you get to know if the person you are attracted to share the same hobbies, beliefs, and personality type.
While Clikd admits that through this method, you might not be getting a ton of matches, it champions the idea of “quality over quantity.” The app guarantees that the few matches you do get are sure to be compatible and ideal for you.
Can Clikd actually pull it off and deliver on its promises? Or is it just another novelty app that only sounds good on paper? Is it worth investing time and money in this dating app? We took a closer look at Clikd to see if it clicked with us. Read on below for the in-depth review of Clikd.
