Clikd is quite simple to set up. You can choose to connect your Facebook account and already have your basic information filled out right away. However, in order to link your FB, your account must be active for a year and has at least 50 friends. It is another step to ensure that whoever signs up on Clikd are real people with a real intention of meeting and mingling with others.

If you choose to create an account from scratch, you can use the long method. It is not tedious. You have to fill out your name, email, birth date, height, gender, and intent. Once you are done with that, you move on to the more specific details. You have to add your tag line, education level, work, and upload at least two photos of you. The last step is to pin your location so suggested matches are guaranteed to be nearby.

Once that is all done, the real fun begins. You will be asked to pick out three to five interests from quite an extensive list of options. Options include adventure, arts, celebrities, creativity, food, gaming, humour, lifestyle, and so many more. Be as specific as you can. Although, this system of matching can also as a double-edged sword. Though it might seem as if you are getting higher quality matches, the reality is, you are getting fewer options as well. Because you are getting a lot fewer choices, the small number of matches you have might not automatically be the right fit for you.
