Joining SoulSingles is easy. You can even link in your Facebook account for faster registration. If you wish to just sign-up directly, you’ll have only two things to do.

• Registration

Located right at the homepage, the registration is easy to complete. First, you’ll have to select your orientation and preference from the dropdown menus. Note that the preference may automatically select the sex opposite to yours, but you may manually select the other if you’re in search for same-sex relationships.

You will also need to enter your country and specific city, and your date of birth. Then, input your preferred email address, your username (make sure there are no spaces, brackets or quotes and it hits the minimum of four characters), and your nominated password.

Click “Continue” to move on to the second part of the registration process.

• Profile Creation

The next step is non-skippable: you’ll have to customise your profile. Still, most of the answers are already pre-composed so the process won’t take that much time.

You will be required to answer questions regarding your physique, profession, lifestyle, and views. Additional questions of your parental status, ethnicity, languages, and music taste will also be included but you may opt to postpone your answer.

SoulSingles will also ask you to upload a photo which you may choose to do or not to do immediately.

However, we do encourage you to complete your profile as soon as possible. Only members who completed theirs will be able to see other members’ profiles, use the Slideshow feature, and send out unlimited likes.

Unlike other dating sites who cater to a similar audience and goal, SoulSingles did not have as much to offer in terms of contacting features. You’ll have to make the most out of these three functions:

• Likes

Just like it’s social media function namesake, SoulSingles lets you send a like to a member who has caught your interaction. This feature is not only a wordless interaction, but it also notifies a member immediately, therefore increasing your chances of interacting.

SoulSingles lets you send unlimited likes once you complete your profile. Aside from immediate notifications, on your end, this feature collects all of the profiles you’ve liked. So, when you feel like checking who these interesting members are, you can easily visit your activity tab and see a summary there.

• Slideshow

Want to really scrutinize the members one at a time? SoulSingles has the “Slideshow” feature which lets you swipe left or right with ease.

• Chat

Chat is the main feature that will allow you to interact with your potential matches at SoulSingles. Unlike the Like and Slideshow functions, this one is exclusively for premium members only.

Given the limited number of features, plus the main function being a paid one, it seems like it would be beneficial if you consider upgrading to a paid membership.

On the desktop, a huge chunk of your profile is arranged in grid-style. This grid includes the member’s photos, plus basic details such as their username, age, location, and marital status.

Of course, it won’t be enough information, so SoulSingles will also have some more information located outside of the grid that doubles as your header. Right after the grid, a member can further discuss why he or she signed up at SoulSingles. Scroll down, even more, to get access to the member’s answers during the registration process.

Profiles may not be as detailed, but it’s actually quite easy to tell who’s a bogus account from the sea of plenty. Members who are serious about dating will make sure their profile is as customised as can be. They’ll upload more than a primary photo, fill out all sections, and write a lengthy and descriptive bio.

As previously mentioned, you won’t be able to make the most out of SoulSingles with just a free account. Simply because the dating site doesn’t have many features, to begin with, and the only function you can use to interact freely is a paid one.

So, if you’re serious about finding a romantic connection, upgrading to a Platinum Membership is something you should seriously consider.
