"Well, I didn't really get anything from this dating app. There were very few users active, or maybe it's just because I don't live in LA or like any big city. I don't know man. I'm better off using Tinder or Bumble I guess." - John, 30, Fortworth TX

Is Helium Dating right for me?Who is signed up on Helium Dating in the UK?
Exclusively on DatingScout: online member numbers for dating services are usually far off, so we estimate how many people are really on Helium Dating from traffic data and interest, updated monthly, with history.
There are not many active users from the United States in the Helium dating app. With a lot of other popular dating apps in the country, most Americans seem to prefer to match first before chatting away. This doesn't seem like the case for Mexicans or Latinos – majority of active users come from Mexico, plus many online members in the United States are Latinos living in America.

How does Helium Dating work?
Engage with other online members through the chatrooms
A profile picture is required to access contacting features
No quick matchmaking you have to browse profiles and chat with who you like
Signing up at Helium Dating
★★★★★ 2.0/5
- Quick registration process
- No email verification required
- Uploading profile photos is not required
- You can disable location access but you won't get profile suggestions
- Option to sign up as transman / transwoman
Signing up on Helium only takes 2 to 3 minutes. It's fairly a straightforward process where you need to provide your first name, age, gender, and the gender you want to meet on the app. You can sign up as a man, woman, transman, or transwoman. Likewise, you can also choose those four genders for the 'gender seeking' part. After providing those four details, you have to click the 'Begin' button. You will then be directed to an in-app captcha verification just to ensure that you are not a bot.
After the registration process, permission to access the device location will prompt which you need to enable or disable. Disabling the location access is permitted – however, you won't get any member suggestions on your list because the app won't be able to determine where you are.
Also, uploading a profile photo is not required during the signup process. But, you cannot use the site's features without uploading one. You can, however, navigate the app to see all its feature offerings even without a profile photo.

- Profile pictures are visible to everybody for free
- You can edit your profile information later
The Helium Dating app
★★★★★ 2.0/5
- Free to download in Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Offers good usability
- Enable location to find members around your area
- You can enable mobile notifications
Helium is only available as a mobile app. You can download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store for free. The app doesn't take too much of your phone memory – it only requires about 36 MB for Android phones and 112 for iOS users.
Helium has low ratings in both app stores. Most reviews complain about having the same profile suggestions on their list everyday. This could be because there are really just not many users of the dating app.

The app was designed to appeal to millennial users, and that's why a huge chunk of its member base lies on the 25 to 35 years of age.
